Running.

I have discovered that I am a runner.
Not in the physical sense; not even in the emotional sense. Well, sort of.
If things happen in my life that I feel I can't handle, I run.
I have 'run' to a country on the other side of the world, just to get away from my problems for awhile.
I have 'run' to another home when I felt unsafe in my own.
And now I am running again.

RE: Facebook Parenting: For The Troubled Teen

This week, the internet has exploded with father Tommy Jordan posting a video on YouTube where he reads a Facebook status from his daughter where he, his wife, ex-wife and family friend are disrespected to the (maybe private) world of Facebook.
After the post is read to the camera, the father explains that he had told his daughter that another act where he was disrespected would result in her laptop being shot (he doesn't say what the first offence was). He then proceeds to pan the camera to the laptop, shows his gun, and then true to his word, shoots it. Quite a few times.

A lot of people cried 'child abuse!' and 'call child services!' in response to this video.

Personally, I applaud him. Well done. There's already enough parents in this world who would rather be friends than parents to their children, or not go through with their word like Mr. Jordan did. Because of the lack of responsible parents in this world, we have a generation full of self-entitlement, who think that everything in life belongs to them, even when they didn't work for it. Good on you, Tommy Jordan. We could all do with more parents like you.
